Integrated Marketing Campaign
Experience Kissimmee engaged in a made-for-the-weekend partnership with Chubbies—a popular men’s apparel brand known for radical shorts. This summer, the Chubbies team spent a week in Kissimmee shooting photo and video marketing materials to promote its new line of apparel and swimwear for men, women, and kids. While in the destination, Chubbies also gathered assets to promote the destination in a fully produced video editorial featuring many of Experience Kissimmee’s partners, in addition to daily, sketch-style, behind-the-scenes Instagram stories while the shoot was underway where they tagged Experience Kissimmee in every slide. We recognized Chubbies for their highly engaged audience of American millennial men and their hilarious and unique sketch comedy, creative ad campaigns, successful past brand partnerships, and of course, the synergy between their line of swim shorts and trunks and the sought-after, sunny vacation destination. The goals of this partnership were to: • Receive high quality & valuable photo and video assets of the destination and partners • Generate new email leads via the sweepstakes • Expand brand awareness & grow following • To experiment and be a leader in the content partnership space To amplify the reach and impact of the partnership, Experience Kissimmee launched a family vacation sweepstakes in tandem with the launch of the destination video editorial which is being supported by paid media. Chubbies promoted the video and sweepstakes to their email subscribers via a dedicated newsletter and by sharing the video and links to the sweepstakes with their social media audience. Experience Kissimmee also released a ‘behind-the- scenes’ blog post, coordinated social posts, and press release. The campaign and paid media efforts are ongoing.
